Description

Sushi Today is an established sushi restaurant directly across from the Vancouver Law Courts at 989 Hornby St, with strong name recognition downtown. Sales are strong on short hours: Mon–Sat 11:30am–8pm, closed Sundays and holidays. Customers are loyal downtown office workers plus a steady flow of tourists. The dining room was fully renovated in 2026 ($130K invested). The 571 sq ft space has 20 seats, a food primary liquor licence, and much of its kitchen equipment was bought new in 2025–26. Rent is $5,300/mo + GST and includes property tax, hydro, water and building insurance. The lease runs to Sept 2029 with a 3-year renewal option. The restaurant is dine-in only today, with almost no delivery orders, which leaves clear room to grow through delivery apps. The owner is relocating.
